Project Date Night is always looking for excellent nannies and babysitters interested in joining our network. 
Here are our requirements to qualify for a virtual interview via our online application form:
  • You must be Fully COVID Vaccinated 
  • Have a minimum of three years of childcare experience.
  • Have a minimum of two references (preferably from families in NYC, but not limited to).
  • Have a current and valid adult and pediatric CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferably from  The Red Cross or American Heart Association - not set to expire within the next 6 months. (We do not accept CPR certificates obtained via online courses.) 
  • Availability to work a minimum of 5 times per month. We are seeking those with morning to afternoon availability  (8am-3pm), afternoon to late evening availability (3pm-11:45pm), and all-day weekend availability.
  • Prior knowledge preferred or willingness to learn how to use various digital communication solutions like Slack, Google shared calendars, and Gmail. We use these platforms as our main source of communication and scheduling, this is a firm requirement. 
  •  Fluency in English – both spoken and written.
  • Willingness to undergo a background and reference check ( to be conducted after an in-person interview).

Important. Project Date Night is not a recruitment and/or placement agency - therefore our fees’ schedule works differently than in agencies of this kind. Our main income and budget that allows us to run this business, comes from the memberships paid by our families and a 10% fee from each job/booking paid by our team members. If you are not ok with transferring 10% of your earnings to us - please do not apply to join our team as we would not be a good match for you. As the COVID vaccine is now readily available to everyone, we do ask our current and potential team members of Project Date Night to get vaccinated s soon as possible. Our families ask for and prefer to work with vaccinated caregivers, as it provides more safety. Most of the parents we work with are vaccinated as well - we do relay this information to our team members. Please let us know below if you are vaccinated. If you are not vaccinated and cannot get a COVID vaccine for medical reasons, let us know below. If you are not planning to get vaccinated due to your beliefs or are not comfortable sharing vaccination information with us - we are sorry but we will not be able to work with you.

Your Childcare Experience

This is the longest part of our application form - please take your time to answer each question thoroughly. In this section, we will ask you questions about your experience working as a childcare provider as well as your work ethics, your childcare ideas and preferences, and your own lifestyle.

Would you consider yourself computer/tech savvy? We use several apps for communication and email updates so you must be able to access and utilize these with ease.

Do you have any allergies to cats, dogs or other pets? Are you uncomfortable around or scared of any particular pets?

Tell us about your hobbies, biggest life loves and your dislikes. Are you an avid runner, book reader or an amazing baker?

What makes you stand out and why? Think outside the box. Please stay away from sentences similar to " I love children!" etc. We already assume you do as that is a mandatory trait in order to this job well.
