CPR Certification.
Every PDN team member must be CPR-certified. You need an Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification conducted as fully in-person or blended training (partially online and partially in the classroom). PDN is an accredited Red Cross CPR provider. If you are not certified, we will train you. (The cost of CPR training is $80.)
What childcare do we cover?
Project Date Night specializes in providing last-minute and emergency childcare coverage, as well as one-off and regular babysitting gigs for date nights. We also cover a lot of daytime requests, ranging from one-off to longer-term coverage. We fill the childcare gaps for parents who are freelancers or have steady childcare (whether it’s a nanny or daycare). We cover when nannies go on vacations, take sick or personal days, and when schools and daycares are not in session.
What do we offer our team members?
You get to work in a safe environment. All babysitters on our team and all families we work with have been previously screened. You are guaranteed to get paid, receive support whenever issues arise, and work on your schedule. Working with us is highly flexible – you can work as much or as little as you’d like. Team Project Date Night is a close-knit group of like-minded people who like, respect, and help each other whenever needed. First and foremost, we are a community. We meet a few times a year for training and to spend time together.
How much $ money can you make?
Our main income and budget that allows us to run this business comes from memberships paid by families and a 15% fee on each babysitting gig.
You get 85% of each booking, and we take a 15% cut. This makes us affordable for the families we work with and time- and money-worth for our team members. We require a minimum of 4 hours, or payment for 4 hours, to cover a request. The minimum $ you will make from a shift is $97.2 for a 4-hour booking (after our 15% cut). Cancellations of the same and next-day requests are charged the four-hour minimum. Families are charged every 1/2 hour, and you get paid directly by families via an agreed-upon payment method (either the same day or the next day), which can include Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Revolut, Cash App, etc. Families must also get you home in a car after evening bookings and for a very early morning start (5am-7:30am).
