Hi Families! My name is Sarah.

I am from New Rochelle, upstate NY, but I spent most of my time in NYC. I graduated from NYU in 2022 and am currently an eCommerce Merchandising Analyst at FreshDirect.

Before my current role, I was a substitute teacher at various schools in New York City! I’ve always been interested in teaching and have gained much knowledge about children and myself while working as a teacher. My favorite part about being a substitute teacher was how easily children can brighten your day and make you laugh.

I also found allowing children to express themselves through different art forms incredibly enjoyable and fun. I love all types of art: singing, dancing, and painting. It’s important for children to have creative outlets, and I will always encourage them to express themselves through a variety of different art forms!

While I love my role at FreshDirect, I miss spending time with kids. I really miss experiencing the Botanical Gardens or the Museum of Natural History through the lens of a child's joy and curiosity. I am eager to plan exciting days with some new kiddos I'll meet through PDN's network!  I am also excited to incorporate educational experiences during my time with your kids. New York is such a beautiful classroom and playground!
