Before I started Project Date Night, I spent more than two decades working as a full-time childcare provider, a babysitter, and a summer camp canceler. During that time, I gathered a lot of experience working with children of various ages, from newborns to teenage kids.

As much as I love running PDN –  my favorite part of what we do is spending time with children. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly kids change, grow and learn. No one could make me laugh as hard as toddlers and their logic. And for that reason – I love my job.

My education is in the medical field – I graduated from college in my native country, Poland. I have a degree in Medical Laboratory Science and Pathology. My biggest hobbies are travel, photography (I love working with black & white film), hiking, cooking, and furniture restoration projects. In my free time, I like to read books, go for a run or swim, or visit museums and exhibitions.

I also lead a very green lifestyle – I run a zero-waste household which is an essential part of my life. There is no planet B - we have to take care of what we have so our kids and grandkids have a place to live. Living zero waste is way easier than most people think and has a lot of perks - saving money and staying healthy are just the most important ones. As my favorite business blogger says - there is no change without change, and we all have to start somewhere. The important thing is to simply try. Today it might be just remembering to bring your water bottle. Who knows, tomorrow you might be working on getting solar panels to every school or making composting in New York City and NY state mandatory for all households and businesses. The more educated we are about climate change, the more we can change as individuals and as a society!
