Nicecream – good for you ice cream!

We all get sweet cravings. Who doesn’t like ice cream from time to time?  Here is a simple recipe for ice cream that is not so bad for you and has only natural sugar and no added one. You can make these in any flavor you like – chocolate, salted caramel, mint-chip, strawberry, mango – the list is endless.

Chocolate Nice Cream
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 3 frozen bananas
  • 1 fresh banana

OPTIONAL  INGREDIENTS – for different flavors

  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 3 teaspoons of broken-up dark chocolate bar/ chocolate chips, or cacao nibs
  • 2-3 tbsp peanut or almond butter, and a pinch of coarse salt
  • 1/2 tsp of green spirulina, a few drops of mint essential oil, 3 teaspoons of broken-up dark chocolate bar/ chocolate chips, or cacao nibs
  • 1/2 cup of strawberries, or other fruit ( blend with bananas!)

Preparation

Blend all bananas in a blender or food processor until smooth. If too thick for your blender you can add some vegan milk or water and continue mixing. After bananas are blended add additional ingredients and mix them with a spoon. For soft ice cream – serve it immediately. For harder serve – keep it in the freezer for at least an hour and then scoop it out with an ice cream scoop.
